Karin Jurick recently said "The way to achieve great joy in life is to paint dogs". she even said "quote me on that" so i am and it is true. This is a friends bulldog, his name is dozer, when he was a puppy. Dozer has been featured in another one of my paintings, surfing on a wave. He is full grown now and living the good life. The truth is that i could not stop smiling while i was painting this one! Thanks Karin, i needed a little pick me up!
Having had a wonderful Bulldog of my own in the past (his name is Howie), I too cannot help but smile at this one, Scott. Can't tell if he is playing or lazing, but I love the look of Dozer in the grass!
ReplyDeletei think he was being playful, and pretending to hide..but as we all know...hiding a bulldog is like hiding and elephant....it's tough to do!
