
Gray days create mood and texture to a painting that sunny days cannot compete with.
I was at Birdrock on such a day at around sunset when i captured this painting. Now i must admit that the sun broke through a little bit and lit up the homes on the bluff, but for the most part it was cloudy and gray with purples and reds and blues. I did have to come back to the studio and punch the colors a bit but it was a memorable day captured on canvas.

This is beautiful, Scott. I love the bit of sunlit homes that you've handled with the yellow. I am reminded of a place that I saw when visiting Spain a few years ago, it Sitges I believe it was...A quite similar outcropping of land, only there there was a larger building taking up that spit. I am really liking your style of painting. Great job!
